Professor Irene Yarovsky obtained her Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry from Monash University (Australia) in 1994. She then worked in industrial (BHP) research laboratory for 6 years following which she was appointed a research group leader in theoretical materials modelling at RMIT University.
Her research interests are in the development and application of theoretical molecular simulation methodologies to materials ranging from industrial chemicals and polymers, minerals and metals to bio-materials and novel nanomaterials. At present, she is particularly interested in studying the interface between bio- and nanomaterials. Prof. Yarovsky is currently a Program Leader for Biophysics and Bioengineering of the Health Innovations Research Institute of RMIT University.< BACK TO PROFILES
