Graeme Clark resources document published

PDF Print E-mail
To commemorate the 75th birthday of bionic ear pioneer Professor Graeme Clark, the ICT for Life Sciences Forum today launched an online publication about Graeme Clark which brings together for the first time in a single document important information about his research and extensive scientific publications and achievements. The document is intended to be a resource for people who wish to find out important historical information about Professor Clark's research into the cochlear and the many recognitions and awards he has received over many years.

The description of the discovery of the multi-channel cochlear implant is an important historical account of one of the most important modern medical breakthroughs. The section which discusses the most important publications of Professor Clark and his team of researchers is a testament t the many breakthroughs that were required in order for the implant device to restore hearing to the profoundly deaf.

The ICT for Life Sciences Forum is pleased to make this resource available on the occasion of Professor Clark's 75th birthday celebration at the University of Melbourne on 16 September, where many former colleagues, students, government officials, cochlear implant recipients and family will be gathered to celebrate this milestone.
