It is an increasingly accepted view that combinations of knowledge from the physical sciences and the medical and life sciences can deliver new insights and solutions to pressing problems, leading to innovation and new products and services.
The ICT for Life Sciences Forum is an initiative of organisations in Melbourne, Australia that connects the local community of researchers interested in understanding the issues and opportunities offered by the integration of Information and Communication Technology and the Life Sciences.
The ICT for Life Sciences Forum brings together individuals with common goals to share knowledge, ideas and collectively raise the level of understanding in this multidisciplinary field. We have a belief that this approach will become increasingly important in the future and that much can be done to improve the understanding of how these disciplines can effectively collaborate together and deliver social and economic outcomes for society.
The purpose of the ICT for Life Sciences Forum is to:
- convene the community of interest at the convergence of the Life Sciences and Information and Communication Technology disciplines for the purpose of knowledge sharing, fostering collaboration and innovation
